A hypoid gearbox is a type of gearbox in which the pinion axis is moved parallelly to the bevel wheel’s axis. This offset is a hypoid shift, which results in the extension of the active theeth’ length of cooperating wheels, which affects strength, load capacity and clearance. The efficiency of the gearbox is dependent on the hypoid offset and decreases with increasing this distance. It is assumed that the efficiency of hypoid gearboxes is about 94%. Hypoidal gearboxes fill the gap between worm gearboxes and helical-bevel gearboxes. Using hypoid gearboxes we offer you a drive with high efficiency and durability at a relatively low price.

Chiaravalli is a manufacturer of CHO series hypoid gearboxes in 4 mechanical sizes from 0.12 kW to 4 kW.

Hypoidal gearboxes are available in the gearing range: I=7.5 to I=300, transferring torque from 130Nm to 500 Nm.

All gear types are interchangeable with worm gears.
