Polyurethane and rubber gear belts from Megadyne are used mainly in linear and reversible drives and in product position control. These belts are an excellent alternative to chain and flat belt drives due to the quieter operation of the system and greater precision of movement. Open gear belts made of rubber can be connected by aluminium fixing plates which match the belt profile.
Open gear belts made of rubber are available in the following profile types: MXL, XL, L, H, RPP3, RPP5, RPP8, SLV5, SLV8 and STD8.
Open gear belts made of polyurethane are available in both inch pitch: MXL, XL, L, H, XH, as well as in metric pitch: T2,5, T5, T10, T20, AT3, AT5, AT10, AT20, MTD 3M, MTD 5M, MTD 8M, MTD 14M, STD 5M, STD 8M, RPP5, RPP8, RPP14, P1, P2, P4.
Open polyurethane belts are also available with an integrated guide wedge in the pitch: TG5, TG10, TG20, ATG5, ATG10, ATG20, HG.
Polyurethane gear belts can be joined by means of fixing plates or thermally welded. Gear belts for transport can be additionally equipped with various types of nuts made of PVC, rubber, silicone and polyurethane.
