Cardan’s joints are used to connect two drive shafts that may not be aligned with each other. Regardless of the position, which can also change smoothly during operation, the Cardan shafts provide smooth torque transmission at high speeds (through the drive shaft and joints). The joints are named after the Italian mechanic and mathematician Girolam Cardan.

Mario Ferrizasto’s Cardan joints are fitted with sliding bushings with increased wear resistance (G series) or needle bearings (H series designed for high speeds).

Italian manufacturer Mario Ferri offers 4 series marked with symbols S, G, H and X. S and G series are up to 1000 rpm and H series up to 4000 rpm. X series is made of stainless steel (INOX).

It is worth remembering that the G series is designed for applications where there are also impact loads. An additional protective element, resistant to oils and dust, is the Cardan joint’s support.

Both series of Cardan’s joints available in the Archimedes store stand out from the competition:

  • attractive price
  • quiet operation
  • reduced friction
  • hardening and polishing of all friction surfaces

All models of Cardan shafts are available in sliding versions. The offer is complemented by multi-splined shafts and multi-splined bushings.

Italian precision in affordable Polish prices! This is how you can describe Cardan’s joints offered by Archimedes.
