Last weekend, during the perfectly organized XXVI National Potato Days in Nidzica, we had a great pleasure to present our company during the fair and present our offer, which was effectively taken care of by our Product Engineers and specialists from TOMRA Sorting Food – our partner in the field of sorting machines.
OPTICAL SORTER – AN INNOVATIVE PRODUCT!
The TOMRA FPS optical sorter is a product for which Archimedes received the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Award in the category “Innovative Product”. This award is just an extra cherry on this potato cake! The work of the sorter and the sorting efficiency could be seen on the spot at our stand, which aroused considerable interest among visitors.
The National Potato Days is an annual exhibition and training event addressed not only to farmers, but also to producers and other people connected with the potato industry and from the whole country. We could not miss it! A natural consequence of the decision to participate in the National Potato Days was to join the Polish Potato Federation, in which we have recently become a proud member. Together with the Federation and other members, we intend to work to increase the quality and efficiency of domestic potato production, which has a direct impact on the competitiveness of polish potato in Poland and on foreign markets.
EXPORT AND SUBSIDIES
Markets are becoming more and more global and our potential is still not used in 100% – we export food for about 30 billion euros a year, but it is thanks to the implementation of modern technologies such as advanced optical sorters that we are able to export much more high quality goods.
We would like to remind you that from September 2019 the governmental support programme for farmers and potato producers will be launched. Under the current RDP, the funds in the amount of over PLN 430 million will be allocated, among other things, for co-financing:
– modernisation of agricultural holdings
– development of agricultural services
– processing and marketing of agricultural products and much more – check it out.
