Polyurethane gear belts manufactured by MegadyneMegapower and Megaflex are produced from high quality polyurethane in a thermally stabilized unique casting process. They are used primarily to transmit very high torques but also for the precise transport of products.
Polyurethane gear belts are produced in pitch (MXL, XL, L, H, XH, XXH) or metric (T2.5, T5, T10, T20, AT5, AT10, AT20, 3M, 5M, 8M, 14M).
The basic features of these belts are high mechanical resistance, resistance to water, fats, oils and greases, UVA radiation, oil solvents and most acids. In order to calm down the gear belt and eliminate possible backlash, additional nylon fabric coatings are used, which may also occur in an antistatic version.
Gear belts used for transport can be additionally equipped with various types of covers made of PVC, rubber, silicone and polyurethane.
