Archimedes-Folder-Plastics-2024-ENG.pdfPolyetheretherether ketone (PEEK) is a high-temperature material and can be used in an environment with a continuous temperature of about 250oC.
PEEK is characterized:
- good resistance to wear
- good sliding and abrasive properties
- low coefficient of friction
- very good dimensional stability
- excellent chemical resistance
High operating temperature and good mechanical parameters make the material used in the most demanding applications, such as:
- guide rollers
- oven guide chains
- tank linings
- in motor and gearbox construction.
PEEK is an excellent material for use in structural components where good mechanical properties are required while reducing the weight of the component. The material can be modified with glass or carbon fibre, PTFE, conductive additives, ceramics.
The material is available in the form of plates, rods, tubes, profiles and finished products according to drawings.
