Archimedes-Folder-Plastics-2020-11-10-EN.pdfPolyamidoimide (PAI) is a material from the polyimide group characterized mainly by increased thermal, chemical and strength parameters. The basic feature of PAI is the amorphousness of the material itself, but also good sliding properties, very good hardness and strength, high thermal stability and low friction coefficient.
Thanks to its parameters, the material can be used in machine building:
– blades of rotary compressors
– thrust rings
– sliding bearings
– sliding elements
– rollers
– guide chains and many more
The most popular modifications include PTFE and glass fibre. This allows the friction coefficient to be reduced accordingly and the strength of the material itself to be increased along with its resistance to abrasion.
The plastics are available in the form of plates, rods, tubes, profiles and finished products according to drawings.
