R+W’s backlash-free transmission shafts enable torque transmission between connected devices up to 6m away. The middle element and hubs are made of lightweight materials ensuring low weight and low moment of inertia. The shaft can be equipped with elastomer couplings for damping torsional vibration (EZ series) or bellow couplings for high torsional stiffness (ZA series). Regardless of the type of coupling used, their lateral flexibility compensates for the non-axial position of the combined shafts.
Typical applications: lifting systems using electric jacks and actuators, cranes’ drives, machine tools’ gates, palletizers.
When selecting a shaft, the maximum speed should be taken into account, which depends on the length of the shaft. For this purpose we recommend contacting our technical department.
