Planetary gearboxes, due to their design solution (central circulating wheel and satellites) are characterized by very high efficiency, low weight and dimensions in relation to the transmitted torque and loads. Due to the fact that the drive is transmitted in multi-point way (forces are distributed over several wheels and several teeth), they transmit shock loads and change the direction of rotation very well (they have a very favourable and symmetrical distribution of forces).
Bonfiglioli supplies two main series of planetary gears: linear and angular, which are attached to the equipment by means of a foot or flange.
Gearboxes are made in three input versions:
- with a standard flange under the motor according to IEC standard
- with connection for hydraulic motors
- with shaft
Bonfiglioli planetary gearboxes are made in different output versions:
- with a keyed shaft
- with a multi-keyed shaft
- with hollow shaft
- with clamping bushing
- with gear wheel
- with a hub
In addition, we can equip the gearboxes with an internal brake, a reaction arm or an oil’s compensation tank with a vent. Reliability, compactness and a variety of design options allow for ideal use in many applications.
