In addition to their basic function of torque transmission, timing belts are widely used in devices for precise transport, dosing and packaging of products. On geared belts it is possible to weld or melt additional overlays made of various materials such as rubber, pvc, polyurethane, felt, nylon fabrics. Belts with such overlays can be additionally milled, polished and perforated depending on their purpose.
Geared belts can also be equipped with additional elements such as pickups, guide wedges or so-called “false teeth”. In addition, such belts can also be milled on the tooth side and covered with nylon fabrics with different characteristics, e.g. antistatic or silencing. Geared belts with coatings and perforations are used, among others, in vertical packing machines, labeling devices, printers, ATMs, lamella’s feeders in the wood industry, paper and cardboard feeders, sausage machines and other specialist equipment.
