Polyvinyldenefluoride (PVDF) belongs to the group of fluoro thermoplastics like PTFE but has different properties. It is a reinforced fluorine material with a high degree of crystallinity.

Its basic properties include:

  • good mechanical properties
  • high chemical resistance
  • permissible operating temperature 150°C
  • high UV resistance
  • easy to process
  • non-flammable material
  • physiological indifference
  • UV resistance
  • resistance to hydrolysis
  • good electro-insulating properties.

PVDF is used, among other things, in:

  • valves
  • filter plates
  • sealants
  • pipelines

PVDF is used in many industries. It is used in the food industry due to its compliance with European and American standards. Moreover, it is perfect for the production of parts in the petrochemical, chemical, metallurgical, paper, textile, pharmaceutical and nuclear industries.

The material can be modified by the addition of conductive carbon black, which additionally allows the material to be used in an potentially explosive environment, as it will very well dissipate electrical charges from the surface.

The material is available in the form of plates, rods, pipes, profiles and finished products as shown.
