Chiaravalli-Katalog-Wariatory-EN.pdfVariators are stepless gearboxes in which torque transmission is carried out by means of friction discs. It is a module that is placed between the electric motor and the gearbox. Variators are used to smoothly change the speed of the drive system and they are an alternative to inverters. Chiaravalli is a manufacturer of variators from 0.12 kW to 4 kW.
Chiaravalli variators are marked with the CHV symbol.
The speed range of this type of variators is 1:5. This means that using a standard 1400 rpm motor you get a speed range from 150 rpm to 1000 rpm.
