Among them, an important role is played by steel plate chains, which are the main “carrier” element in conveyors. System Plast makes high quality plate chains from specialist steel alloys.

System Plast metal plate chains – characteristics

Plate chains, available at www.archimedes.pl, are made of high-quality steel:

• carbon steel C45, hardness 44 HRC
• stainless steel AISI 430 STANDARD,
• EXTRA PLUS stainless steel (hardness 26-30 HRC),
• austenitic steel AISI 304.

Metal plate chains offered by us are made in advanced technology of five-stage bending proces of plate hinges. Some of the series are subjected to additional polishing of the surface of plates and hinges, as well as hardening of connecting elements – pins (up to 54 HRC), which drastically affects the strength and life of our products. The production offer includes chains designed for arched work (TAB, Bevel and magnetic versions) and chains designed for straight running operation. The chains are produced in various dimensions of plates’ widths – from 32 mm to 190.5 mm.

Steel plate chains – applications

Steel plate chains are used to transport products in glass and metal packaging, less often cardboard and plastic packaging. Therefore, our chains, made of high quality steel, are used for transport of glass bottles, jars, metal cans, e.g. the bottling industry (brewing, juice and beverage production), transport of packaged or non-packaged heavy products, or when the chain operates at elevated temperatures (glassworks). The wide range of products available in our offer also allows for various application possibilities – from single conveyors to automated transport systems. Important industries where plate chains play a special role are the chemical and food industries. Why? The answer is simple.
